STOP-N-GO Driving Academy was established in April of 2005.
Our Mission at the time was a simple one and one that we still adhere to this very day. To teach and train drivers, both young and old to be safe and responsible behind the wheel. this is a mission that we take very seriously here at STOP-N-GO. Our students are more than just a number or a statistic. They are real people with real wants, needs, and desires. You trust us with your most precious cargo, and that is a responsibility that weighs heavily on all of our instructors.
We desire nothing more than for you, or your teen driver to come to a successful conclusion of their experience here at STOP-N-GO and of course that goes way beyond the day that they actually pass their road test and get that most coveted price, their driver's license.
We are here to help, each and every step along the way. If there is a question or concern at any time please feel free to click on this link CONTACT US at any time and send an email to our management team and we will be pleased to help.
Please do understand that in order for any new driver to successfully pass their in-vehicle skills (road) test requires a joint effort between the Academy, the student, and the parent. Each and everyone involved has specific responsibilities in the training of our new young drivers. So any questions that you have no matter how insignificant you may think they might be are important to us (and I can assure you that it won't be the first time someone has asked the question. So let's begin a journey together, a journey of safely and responsibly training our teens to be the best drivers that they can be.
Our Management Team:
Dr Carl Welliver, DD, Ph.D. (School Administrator) has been involved in the training of safe and responsible drivers since 2000 when his daughter Kaitlin was taking driver education at a local driving school in their hometown of Winchester. At first, he was more or less just teaching in the classroom (a task he still enjoys even to this day) and has taught literally thousands of teens and adults alike the principals of safe and responsible driving. Then one day he took on the responsibility to get in the car and begin a new adventure in life (teaching teens behind the wheel) and has never looked back since. Since that time he has been credited with the development of our proprietary "Mind Movies" driver training technique unique to STOP-N-GO Driving Academy. This technique was developed to allow students the ability to practice what they had learned in the vehicle even when there was no vehicle to drive. When properly practiced by the young drivers the level of success that is achieved speaks for itself.
Bob Welliver Deceased December 26, 2017 (Manager/Member and Branch Manager of our Tyngsboro Branch) joined Carl in the field in 2005, and together they formed what is now known as STOP-N-GO Driving Academy. Bob's education and knowledge were a welcome addition to the company allowing us to open our first office in Tyngsboro in April 2005 where we still maintain an active branch location. Bob has been instrumental in the development of classroom curriculum for the school. All of our curricula are presented on PowerPoint as textbooks quickly go out of date and the PowerPoint presentations are changed and a work in progress all the time being updated with the newest and most up to date information available.
Kaitlin (Welliver) Connors (Stoneham Branch Manager) joined the company as the company grew in size, being Carl's daughter and bringing a younger fresh approach to the classroom she has pretty much taken on the responsibility for the classroom teaching in our Stoneham location (although Carl does stop in off the road from time to time to lend a hand).
I thank each and every one of these instructors for the care and the effort that they bring to the table in helping us to train your teens to be the safest and most responsible drivers that they can be.
