Things You Need to Know About the 2022 Midterm Elections

With the midterm elections only 309 days away there are a couple things that need to be stated as to what is to come. The one thing we can be pretty sure of is that the midterm elections are not just about the members of the House or the Senate. But they are often as history has showed us a guage on the current administration's performance.

The reality is that the sitting president’s party almost always loses House seats in these elections, and the midterms are almost always a referendum on the president. And I think we can all agree that if things in Washington keep going the way they are going now that could spell a major catastrophe for the Biden administration.

On average, since the Truman Era, a president's party loses an average of more than 29 House seats in his first midterm election. (This year, Republicans need to pick up just 5 seats to win back the House.) This midterm is shaping up to be a Democratic Bloodbath. And only 1 seat needed to take back control of the Senate that is currently deadlocked at 50-50 with Vice President Harris casting the tie-breaking vote.
