Over 100 Ships Sit In Wait to be Offloaded Los Angeles Coast

Editorial Staff - January 11, 2022

The Supply Chain debacle rages on off the coast of Long Beach / Los Angeles. What exactly is the problem you might be asking yourself. But it isn't just California that is experiencing these backlogs. And there are a variety of reasons for these backlogs. Some of which include such issues as labor shortages at the docks, and COVID outbreaks.

But with its peak as the left-wing state is incapable of unloading the ships as stores see their shelves remain bare. The story concludes “It’s troubling that the number of ships is reaching a record-high at this time of year.

Now as we enter January and February wich comes after the peak season of the holidays, and they are usually a time when companies cut seasonal workers and regroup in preparation for the next peak season. Between the conclusion of the American holiday season and the upcoming Chinese new year celebrations, now is the time to catch up on backlogs but is that even possible at this point. For the congestion to continue to increase through the conclusion of the holidays is not a good sign, and companies will have a hard time catching up before the next peak season starts in August. This problem is not going away anytime soon.”
