It is no big secret here at WeWon2020.com that I am not a big fan of our current President Joe Biden. But please understand me when I say, "Although I may not agree with everything the President says or does, I will always respect the office which he holds."
Much has been said about the President's cognitive health, both before and after the election. His behavior is sometimes erratic, to say the least. Often seeming confused or even frustrated.

It is this type of behavior that has lawmakers concerned and has prompted this request which was initiated in a letter to the President from Rep. Ronny Jackson (an ex-White House physician) suggesting that Biden subject himself to the cognitive test which Jackson claims to be standard practice for commanders-in chief. He further claimed that this request was in no way a partisan issue. 37 other members of the House of Representatives signed on with Jackson's request.
It is suggested that Biden may even be showing Alzheimer's symptoms.
A recent poll showed that 49 percent of American's surveyed thought Biden was not mentally fit to hold office with only 40% believing him to be fit. This recent poll was a drop of 6 points since his confidence ratings from a poll in November.
'The American people should have absolute confidence in their President. They deserve to know that he or she can perform the duties of Head of State and Commander-in-Chief,' the letter, obtained by Fox, states. The letter went on to say, 'They deserve full transparency on the mental capabilities of their highest elected leader. To achieve this, we urge you to submit to a cognitive test immediately.'
The letter cites instances of the 79-year-old president forgetting the names of senior Cabinet officials, misreading clearly-marked figures.
'The Alzheimer’s Association lists “changes in mood and personality,” including being more “easily upset” as one of ten signs of mental decline,' Jackson wrote in the letter.
'You displayed this type of mood change during a cabinet meeting on January 24, 2022, when you apparently did not know your microphone was on after finishing your opening remarks, and you called a White House reporter )Peter Doocy of Fox News) a “stupid son of a bitch" in response to a question asked on inflation.' after which the president personally apologized to the journalist. (see video)
The letter further stated, 'This is not just a recent trend, as your mental decline and forgetfulness have become more apparent over the past two years,' they write.
'On the campaign trail, you often forgot the names of states that you were in for campaign rallies. The Alzheimer’s Association points out “confusion with time or place” as another of the ten signs and symptoms of mental decline.'
Then 'In February 2021, you publicly forgot the purpose of your visit to survey the winter storm damage in Texas. In March 2021, you forgot the name of the Pentagon, the Department of Defense, and the Defense Secretary.
'Lastly, in May 2021, you told a story from your tenure as Vice President in which you stated that you regularly visited your sick mother via Amtrak in2013, even though she passed away in 2010.'
There is no disputing the fact that his health battles have been well-documented.
Biden suffered two brain aneurysms in 1988 while vying for the Democratic presidential nomination, which went eventually to Michael Dukakis. He had surgery to treat the life-threatening conditions at that time. He also had a heart condition that makes the muscle beat too fast, causing dizziness and confusion -- this condition is known as atrial fibrillation.
As America's oldest President, risk factors that come naturally with age are also a concern. The chance of dementia doubles every five years after age 65, and one in six people have it by the time they reach the age 80.
Of course, we cannot overlook the instances that some would simply link to clumsiness as he has also experienced accidents since becoming president, including stumbling while climbing up the stairs of Air Force One in March and last November he suffered hairline fractures in his foot when playing with one of his dogs and had to wear a protective boot for weeks.
As a country I am sure that we all pray for our President and wish him no harm, but is he suitable to be in his current position as the leader of the free world? Well, that will only be answered in time and hopefully before it is too late. Otherwise, there is always the 25th Amendment if he were to be deemed mentally incompetent.
